Blended Scotch Whisky was first pioneered back in the 1860's by a Whisky-maker by the name of Andrew Usher from Edinburgh.
He took a grain whisky which was light and flavoursome and combined it with the then rough malt whisky of the day.
Scottish Blended whisky can be produced from a number of Scotch whiskies from a variety of Scottish Whisky distilleries.
